Some Driving Snaps
Steve and I had a mid-week viewing of the farmhouse out in the country. We had time to kill afterward, so we took a drive up to the charming village of Dornoch and the nearby holiday park, Granny's Heinlan' Hame. I didn't take any photos of the village because I was too busy exploring it. Sorry about that. I'm sure we will visit again. I did manage to take a few snaps as we were driving about the countryside, though.
On the drive home, we noticed this very low cloud floating by.
We already had a quick look at Granny's Heinlan' Hame and were heading toward Loch Fleet. I thought the view was particularly picturesque and Steve was kind enough to pull over so I could take a quick photo.
A close-up of the low clouds sitting over the entrance to the loch.
No matter how much noise we made, this Highland Cow refused to look at us. Uncooperative bovine. Highland Cows are affectionately called Heilan' Coos. If you say that out loud, you'll realize it's how Highland Cow sounds when spoken with a Scottish burr. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that Granny's Heinlan' Hame is going for something similar.
Another cow who was not being cooperative with the whole photo shoot thing. But at least the calf was willing to look at us.
