Evening Exploration

Although it's not staying light quite as late as it was when we first arrived (Sunset now is at 9:22 p.m. versus 10:45.), we still have several hours of exploring time after Steve gets home from work. While we aren't out every night, we have taken a few jaunts.

One evening, we drove to the Black Isle to check out some of the towns I had heard about. The eastern end is sparsely populated. Cromarty is a small village on the eastern end of the Black Isle at the beginning of the Cromarty Firth.

This is Cromarty Harbour. The thick cloud cover dimmed the light and made silhouettes of the drilling platforms and the various sailboats anchored in the harbor.

I do like my panoramic photos. Here's one of the harbor.

On a different evening, Steve and I were in the Eastgate Shopping Mall in the Inverness city center. We stumbled upon this little gem and it made me laugh.

On yet another evening, we revisited Nairn to check out a house that was for rent. We took a drive over to the waterfront where I took this photo.

Yep, another panorama photo. I just can't help myself.
