Inverness has Dandruff!

Okay, not really. That would be weird, though. What Inverness had was snow - about twenty minutes of it. That amuses me because one, I love snow so it just amuses me in general; and two, it's the third day of Spring. My daughter is lamenting the heat in Atlanta and I have snow. It didn't stick, mind you. In fact, the dusting I noticed on a distant mountain is pretty much gone seven hours later. But it snowed. And I have the video to prove it! I took this video in spurts across the twenty minutes of snowfall. Sometimes I was looking out the front. Sometimes I was looking at the back. And sometimes you can see reflections in the windows. I hope you enjoy our brief visit from the snow.

Ch Ch Ch Changes

Goodness, it's been over a month since I posted! The fact of the matter is I've been quite busy working on my dissertation and . . . moving! Our term at the wee bungalow was only for six months (up to eight if necessary), so we began scouring the rentals shortly after the new year. We found one place, a three-bed bungalow, in the Culloden area east of Inverness. The price was good and it had excellent bus links. But it was small. I was willing to go for it. There was very little for rent and I was terrified that we'd be back where we were in the summer: Essentially homeless and shifting from one temporary place to another. I couldn't handle that again. But Steve really dug in his heels. He knew we'd be too cramped and miserable in such a small space. It was bigger than the bungalow, but not by much.
