Christmas 2016
Hello and belated Happy New Year!
Our first Christmas in Inverness was a very pleasant one. Although we couldn't use all of our Christmas decor, we made our wee bungalow a cozy, festive place. We went down to Preston to visit Steve's family ahead of the holidays, and then spent a quiet Christmas just the two of us at home. Then one of Steve's brothers and his missus came up and spent Hogmanay (that's New Year's in Scotland) with us. So we had a grand time and, as always, I'm sad the festive season is over. I have started a new tradition this year, though. Rather than taking all the Christmas decor down on January 2nd, I'm leaving it in place through Epiphany on the 6th. It's one way to make Christmas last just a smidge longer.
I took a bunch of photos of our Christmas decorating to share with Mom. I threw in some scenes from Inverness and made a video. Here is it for your viewing pleasure:
